Slicks On Mountain Bike

- a bicycle with a sturdy frame and fat tires; originally designed for riding in mountainous country
- (Mountain biking) Mountain biking is a sport which consists of riding bicycles off-road, often over rough terrain, using specially adapted mountain bikes. Mountain bikes share similarities with other bikes, but incorporate features designed to enhance durability and performance in rough terrain.
- (of an action or thing) Done or operating in an impressively smooth, efficient, and apparently effortless way
- (of a person or their behavior) Adroit or clever; glibly assured
- A slick tyre (also known as a "racing slick") is a type of tyre that has no tread pattern, used mostly in auto racing. The first production "slick tyre" was developed by a company called M&H Tires in the early 1950s. It was a drag racing slick.

The Most Enjoyable Trail I Have Yet To Encounter on a Mountain Bike
Hornby Island: MTB Paradise.
I just spent two incredible days discovering one of the West Coasts best secrets.
There is, it seems, some of the best mountain biking in the west to be found on tiny little Hornby Island. I had heard this before from a few people, and the bar of expectation was set pretty high. That was was cleared with ease.
An easy climb to the summit rewards the intrepid explorer with some of the best single-track I have encountered thus far. Incredibly fast, flowy trails speed through glowing green grass amongst moss laden ancient trees. Technical upper trails like “4 Dead Aliens” lead into the sheer joy of “Test Tube” and “Chris and Brads”, which bring you to the sheer ecstasy of “No Horses”, an amazing array of steep banked corners set amongst spaced out treet and the greenest of green grassy forest floors. I was floored the first time I rode it.
On the other side of the hill, we encountered the amazing link up of “Slick Rock” and “Coltsfoot”, some of the fastest riding I have done, and absurdly fun.
This place is truly special. To be continued…
We go to the mountain bike capital of the world and what does she want to ride each day? Her scooter, not her bike. She's good with it though and can handle some speed and bumps on that thing.
